Mainly cool, upper 60s except sometimes 70s in the open sun. Breezy above tree line.
Yesterday we did 12 miles in in 10 hours and hoped it would get better. Today we did 9.8 miles in 12 hours. Tomorrow we do the hardest mile on the trail. The first picture is of Wendy and Flatlander coming down a steep section. The day was full of that - up and down. There were more blueberries though.
We caught up with Bard again (last picture). His name is now Bard the Changeling because his plans always change. He fell and maybe broke his finger. So he took a short day. Tomorrow he will hike big miles and leave us behind once again, unless his plans change.
Also here are Plans Too Much and Capt. Bly. They picked me up when I was hitchhiking into Gorham. They are section hiking the Mahoosucs together. Also here is Turtleback, a friend of Flatlander's from earlier this year.
