Warm low 70s. Sunny.
Hiked 9 miles into town by 1:00. Doing laundry and getting ready to go back out. Took the SOBOs to the grocery store.
Late this afternoon, I was siting on the front porch of the hostel when I looked up and saw two newly arrived hikers looking back and forth between the hostel and MT. Rogers Outfitters. I recognized Boo and Scout and called out. During our reacquaintance, I saw. Dave leaving MRO for the day and called to him so they could get a room. The four of us had dinner and were joined by the five SOBOs. Lots of good stories were told.
Apparently Boo and Scout were consistently three weeks behind us. The followed our register entries. Of the original Slatington Seven, the four of us were together tonight. Jaybird finished his section in DWG as planned, and Wool E. Mammoth finished his thru hike in New York as planned. Only Outside Dog is unknown. We have word that he was back on the trail and headed to Katahdin. Boo and Scout saw a register entry south of Harper's Ferry which suggests that he finished the northern part, and went back to Harper's Ferry to head south. Hope to see him too.
