Cloudy, high in the upper 60s. Foggy at times and threatening to rain all day. Raining now.
A much better day. Still muck, but more room to get around it. Glad we made it to the shelter before the rain.
According to the sign on the trail, we officially entered the Green Mountains today. I thought were already were, but it is offic@ial now.
Mostly uphill today to near the top of Glastenbury Mountain. We climbed about 2000 feet overall consisting three climbs of 1300, 900, and 600. Hiked along a nice stream for a short while today.
More people on the trail today too. Eight people are in the the shelter tonight so far (6:30). Four of us are hiking the AT and four are hiking the Long Trail. The Long Trail runs through Vermont from the border with Massachusetts in the south to the Canadian border in the north.
Still have no signal once we are in the mountains so I'll send these when I can.
