15 June - Story Spring Shelter

A beautiful day - the trail is still wet in the green tunnel.  High in the 70s.

But it was cold last night; probably in the low 40s again.  Too cold for this summer sleeping bag.  I need another bag.

We had a nice day hiking.  We hiked 9 miles to this shelter.  The next one was another 10 miles.  Saw lots of moose scat.  Hope to see one.

The first picture is the view from Glastenbury Mtn.  The second is here at the shelter at dinner.  There are 10 people here tonight (so far at 7:30) - six in the shelter and four in the camping area.  The third is "Joe from Iowa" and his 13 year old daughter "Train Wreck".   He is finishing his thru hike from 2006 starting in Massachusetts.

Two more days until a zero day in Manchester Center.
