21 July - Andover, ME. (zero day)

Sunny and pleasant, high in the 70s most of the day. It is now raining with lightning and thunder.

Pine Ellis Lodge is a well known trail hostel that has helped thousands of hikers over the years. Ilene owns the house and her son in law David is the manager. He has lived all over the US. But he is from Guatemala and is of Mayan decent. He sometimes plays the flute on the front porch and has a special flute called a drum flute. It has a very nice sound.

POW and TLC hiked out today. We will catch them later. Flatlander is still with us and Plans Too Much and Capt. Bly are here too. Flatlander has planned shuttles for slack packing with them.

Overall, a great zero day. Andover is a nice town - very small. We rested, read, and napped. We also went to the Post Office to get items from our bounce box. Had a long lunch and restocked supplies for slack packing.
